Bathroom Designs for the San Francisco Bay Area

SF Castro Remodel
This house had no master bedroom or master bathroom. We opened the wall between two adjoining bedrooms to create one master bedroom. The bathroom entry was closed off in the hallway and an opening created through the bedroom wall. A double sink counter with cabinetry was installed. The closet across from the sinks is new and provides space for laundry and clothing storage.

A new shower was installed. We designed the shower to center on the original skylight opening. We replaced the skylight with an operative one for better ventilation. All new plumbing fixtures were installed, bathtub and toilet. All new lighting fixtures and tile.

This room is the result of better space planning. By reconfiguring the bathroom that was previously only accessible in the hallway (it is now a master bath) we created enough space to add a powder room off the living room across from the kitchen. There is now an appropriate facility for guests to use rather than walking through the clients' bedroom.

This is a compartmentalized toilet area, originally a tiny closet. It has the perfect size sink making it more convenient by not having to walk to the masterbath to wash-up.

The custom cabinetry is cantilever mounted so there is no dirt accumulation around the base. There was no wall depth to mount traditional medicine mirror cabinets. These mirrors have storage on their backside and swivel to hide or reveal its contents.

Powder rooms are often quite small so they can be a great area to showcase strong color to give character to what was before an underwhelming space.
